Problems to reach our new server?

Thaivisa.com is moving to a new server on August 5-7, 2006

Do you get "Server not found"?

Dear Forum member,

We are moving Thaivisa.com to a new dedicated server this weekend.

The server move is not a complicated thing, but considering the fact that the Thaivisa Forum is a very traffic intensive site, it's a delicate problem to move the forum and database and keep it in sync. We need to take down the system for a few hours while transferring the data to the new system. The system will be "read-only" during this process.

Users from different parts of the world should be able to re-login to the new server within an hour or two.

Users accessing from a Thai ISP (Internet Service Provider) could experience error messages such as "Server not found". This is completely out of our control, as most Thai ISP's are caching their DNS. It can take from a few hours to a few days. There is no way for us to rush the ISP's to obtain fresh DNS data.

Please be patient, and if you are experiencing problems, please be assured that we are doing our best to have you all online again.

You are welcome to post a comment below, or share your expeience with the move. You can be anonymous. Please indicate from what country or ISP you are accessing from. We will do everything we can to help you out!

Kind regards,
